How Our Training Works

Dog Training

We offer private, one-on-one dog training services to clients in Bend and the surrounding cities of Central Oregon. We work to modify undesirable behaviors shown by dogs in the home over the course of these sessions using the principles of learning theory and positive reinforcement. Behavior concerns can include, but are not limited to:

  • Reactivity and/or aggression

  • Excessive barking, digging, chewing or mouthing

  • Soiling in the house

  • Resource guarding

  • Jumping on guests

  • Over-excitement and hyperactivity

  • Not coming when called

  • Pulling while on leash

Training sessions are offered in a package format tailored to each dog’s individual needs.

We take a holistic view of your dog’s behaviors and specific set of circumstances to understand and effectively change these behaviors. We start all training relationships by offering a FREE consult prior to in-person sessions.

Virtual Dog Training

Personalized dog training and coaching - done remotely and virtually!

“But how do you train my dog if you aren’t here?”

We take pride in our coaching abilities! We model with our own dogs while giving clear and concise instructions to you as the student. Then, we give you feedback as you work with your own dog! Besides, even if we were there in person - we are not the ones living with your dog! You are your dog’s first and greatest teacher. We are simply here to give you guided practice in how to implement a strong training plan for your dog!

Before our first session - as with our in-person services - we offer a free phone consult in order to get an accurate assessment of your dog and specific set of circumstances.

Training Walks

When teaching our dogs new behaviors and/or trying to unlearn old habits, we always have to think about context. Does your dog perform well in the house but is a complete hooligan as soon as they set out for a walk? That’s where we come in!

Training walks give your dog an opportunity to work one-on-one with a professional trainer while on a walk. These walks give a them a great chance to get some physical exercise and mental stimulation while also helping them improve their on-leash skills. During these walks, trainers will also help them to ‘generalize’ behaviors and verbal cues into other, more challenging environments than just inside the home.

Training walks can be booked for 30-minute or 60-minute time slots and are currently reserved for current private session clients only.
